Union Deli – Grand Indonesia Jakarta

There are so many interesting addition at Grand Indonesia Jakarta mall, for example by Union group there is Union Deli which had opened recently and also Benedict which will be opened at the beginning of next year.

Happy Holiday Sahabat Jajan!! What’s your plan for new year holiday this year? Me and Mr. Jajan are so excited for another trip to Japan for new year. Well if you don’t have any plan yet, don’t be sad because there are so many new hangout places opening recently in Jakarta for you to visit, and one of them is my all time favorite bakery Union at Grand Indonesia called Union Deli.

Inspired by New York Delicatessens, Union Deli offers gourmet sandwiches, artisanal breads, freshly baked pastries along with their famous cakes and pies. It is located at the east mall ground floor inside Central Department store Grand Indonesia.

Classic Pastrami IDR 125k
This one turned out to be our most favorite sandwich that day. The nicely toasted whole wheat bread was stuffed with generous pepper crusted smoked beef brisket, savory peppery yet addicting.

Philly Cheese Steak IDR 125k
Soft baguette with thinly sliced steak, cheese and caramelized onion. AnakJajan enjoyed the soft baguette a lot, soft fluffy while crunchy on the outside, the thinly sliced beef was tender but I personally hope that there will be more cheese in this sandwich because caramelized onion can be quite overpowering.

Balinese Spicy Tuna IDR 80k
Super unique and must try menu! Croissant tuna mayo sandwich with a twist, this is not the ordinary tuna mayo sandwich you usually find out there. They geniusly mixed it with Indonesian Balinese Sambal Matah and it turned out to be a killer combination, sooo good!! The creamy tuna mayo goes really well with the aromatic yet spicy Sambal Matah, AnakJajan totally recommend you to try it.

Bulgogi Beef IDR 125
Tender thinly sliced steak, Korean red pepper mayo and cheese with soft baguette resulting a sweet yet savory combination.

Red Velvet Sundae IDR 55k
Vanilla ice cream with red velvet crumble and crunchy crumbles.

Key Lime Pie IDR 55k
Lemon curd, meringue and crumbles.

Dessert is something that you MUST NOT miss at Union Deli, besides their all time favorite cakes such as Carrot Cake, Red Velvet Cake, etc, here in Union Deli you can find new sweetooth creation such as Red Velvet Sundae IDR 55k, Key Lime Pie IDR 55k, Eggnog Rum Raisin Pie IDR 75k, Red Velvet IDR 50k, Mint Chocolate IDR 75k, etc. All of them were scrumptious and AnakJajan enjoyed it so much especially the Red Velvet Pie that taste as good as but not as heavy as their Red Velvet Cake and bitter sweet smooth yet crunchy Mint Chocolate Pie, soooo good!
